Awareness raising

In addition to writing projects in collaboration with local partners and fundraising to sustain the projects, the activities carried out in Italy by Project for People aim to raise awareness in society about the principles of self development in the south of the world and to promote a culture of international cooperation.

In particular, thanks to numerous contacts with students in many Italian universities, conferences are periodically held in the universities to raise awareness among the young people in various departments, speaking in depth on the aspects of the projects most pertinent to their area of study (medicine, engineering, economics...).

Among the awareness raising activities aimed at young people, the activities of the «School Group» stands out. This is a group of volunteers of our association who organize meetings and workshops in elementary, middle and high schools on themes about development and the promotion of self development in poorer parts of the world.
